AiSensy Alternatives for Growing Teams in 2026

AiSensy alternatives: seven options by workflow

Choose an AiSensy alternative by the workflow you need: shared conversations, commerce, AI-assisted qualification, custom messaging or email and WhatsApp retention. WATI, Interakt, Gallabox, DoubleTick, Twilio, Freshchat and CampaignHQ serve different operating jobs. Compare the same sample journey in each shortlisted product, including integrations, permissions and migration requirements.

Last reviewed: September 15, 2026. This is a source-based shortlist, not a hands-on ranking. The seven alternatives retain their existing order; there is no universal winner.

What to check before leaving AiSensy

AiSensy offers WhatsApp Business API campaign, inbox and automation tools. Its current pricing page lists chatbot and AI-agent add-ons and fair-use conditions. Ask for the exact plan and add-ons that support your workflow; older plan limits are not a reliable reason to switch.

Write down the failure you need to fix: an agent handoff, missing customer event, disconnected email follow-up or incomplete report. Demonstrate it in AiSensy first. If the existing setup can meet the requirement, staying may avoid unnecessary migration work. A WhatsApp-focused product can also connect to other tools; that is different from native cross-channel execution.

Seven alternatives by operating job

1. WATI

Evaluate for: Shared inbox and connected messaging.

WATI offers team conversations and automation. Its official integration overview describes messaging and business-tool connections. An email or SMS integration does not establish a native cross-channel journey builder.

Demo test: Test assignment, escalation and your connected email step. Confirm which system owns consent and whether an agent can see the customer context needed to reply.

2. Interakt

Evaluate for: Commerce and sales conversations.

Interakt’s current site markets WhatsApp, Instagram and RCS alongside commerce tools, sales CRM and WhatsApp automation. It is not limited to an ecommerce inbox.

Demo test: Test catalog or order data, lead assignment and failed-message handling on the proposed plan. Obtain data-location and support terms directly; corporate ownership does not establish those terms.

3. Gallabox

Evaluate for: AI-assisted qualification and follow-up.

Gallabox now markets AI agents for WhatsApp, Instagram, voice and web, with qualification, booking, payment and re-engagement workflows. Describing it as a basic WhatsApp-only inbox misses its current offering.

Demo test: Test an agent action, a failed action and escalation to a person. Confirm connector fields and sync direction, and demonstrate any email step in the connected system.

4. DoubleTick

Evaluate for: WhatsApp sales teams using mobile devices.

DoubleTick offers mobile access alongside team inbox, broadcasting, no-code bot workflows, CRM triggers and journey analytics. Mobile access does not imply limited automation.

Demo test: Have an agent complete a real handoff on the devices the team uses. Check role permissions, routing, reporting and how external follow-up connects.

5. Twilio

Evaluate for: Custom messaging with engineering ownership.

Twilio’s messaging products support channels including WhatsApp and SMS; its SendGrid offering covers email and marketing campaigns. These are distinct products and implementation choices, not proof of one ready-made retention workflow.

Demo test: Estimate development, monitoring and support ownership for the proposed architecture. Ask which parts use packaged tools and which require custom code; avoid assuming every Twilio deployment starts from scratch.

6. Freshchat (Freshworks)

Evaluate for: Customer conversations in a Freshworks setup.

Freshchat’s current overview describes messaging, bots, agent context and proactive customer journeys. Freshworks also distinguishes Freshchat from Freshdesk Omni, which adds broader support capabilities. Do not assign the entire suite’s channel list to a single Freshchat plan.

Demo test: Request a demo in the exact product and plan you would buy. Check WhatsApp outbound workflow, email handling, agent handoff and reporting without assuming that support conversations and retention campaigns are interchangeable.

7. CampaignHQ

Evaluate for: Email + WhatsApp retention.

CampaignHQ is a Meta Tech Partner offering customer retention automation for email and WhatsApp, built on AWS. Its product overview describes shared customer profiles, segments, events and reporting for WhatsApp campaigns and email workflows.

Demo test: Test one consented journey across both channels using your own events and exclusions. Confirm connector scope and operational ownership. A team that only needs a working shared inbox may not need to replace it with a retention platform.

Compare the same workflow, not a yes/no channel table

  • Native feature: the evaluated product runs the step itself on the proposed plan.
  • Integration: a connector passes data or instructions to another product. Verify fields, direction, delays and failure handling.
  • Custom implementation: your team or provider builds and maintains the connection. Get that responsibility in writing.

For a renewal example, create a sample contact with separate email and WhatsApp permissions, trigger a reminder, register a renewal and check that later follow-ups stop. Repeat with an opted-out contact and a failed connector. This exposes operating gaps that a list of channel logos cannot.

Separate vendor fees, add-ons, implementation and usage charges. Read how WhatsApp Business API pricing works and Meta’s current pricing page before comparing quotes. No price advantage is assumed here.

Reviews can identify questions for a trial, but not establish universal product limits. For example, use Interakt G2 reviews to ask about support expectations, then obtain the proposed support terms. Broad market context such as DataReportal’s 2025 India report does not prove your own audience’s channel preferences.

Agree the migration before signing

Use the retention platform migration checklist to test contacts, consent, exclusions, templates, events and reporting. Ask both providers to confirm account access and the number-transfer path. A contact CSV does not automatically move chat history, bot logic or approved templates. The provider and setup checklist helps assign responsibilities.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a ranking from best to worst?

No. The order is retained for continuity. Choose the operating job first, then test the shortlisted products against the same acceptance criteria.

Does an integration mean email is native?

No. Ask which product sends the email, where permission is stored and who handles a failed sync. A connected workflow can be suitable, but its dependencies should be explicit.

Can I move my existing WhatsApp number?

Ask both providers to confirm eligibility and the required process for your specific account. Agree ownership, transfer timing and contingency steps before disconnecting the current setup.

Does Meta Tech Partner status guarantee delivery?

No. CampaignHQ’s partner relationship is relevant to its WhatsApp offering, but it does not guarantee template approval, delivery, inbox placement or a specific support response time.

When is CampaignHQ worth evaluating?

When the marketing team needs email and WhatsApp retention workflows together. Demonstrate the required events, exclusions and reporting rather than assuming that an SMS workflow or every legacy connector is included.

Bring a sample journey and its acceptance checks when you schedule a demo.
